I need to display links to a file stored in a shared drive in Appian Form in 6.6

I need to display links to a file stored in a shared drive in Appian Form in 6.6.1. The URL/link to the file is stored DB table (i.e. file://someserver/somedirectory/somesubdirectory/file.zip). There will be multiple of these file links, so I intend to use something like a list Links in a Grid.

However, the link is somehow shown (and redirecting to) Appian server link (shown something like: http://<appian server>:<server port>/suite/?appian_environment=apps#)

Has anyone managed to show "file://" based URL in link within Appian Grid? Thanks....
