a!gridLayout Mandatory show Asterisk

Question

I have a mandatory input field which is created using a!gridLayout() . I am handling the validation on submit but i have to show this field as mandatory by displaying an asterisk . I tried putting required:true but it is not displaying the asterisk . is this a product limitation ?

Yes. Appian does not have a way to allow you to display the red asterisk next to the label of the grid.

It was possible in Portal(Older version where Portal was used instead of Tempo) but not it tempo. 
You can add asterisk in grid column header by yourself and put null/blank field validation so if you will leave field bank then you will get message in red color.
