I have a requirement where the link from email notification should direct the user to “Appian -> Actions -> retain or Retire Pipelines” AND the pipelines should be filtered by AMU (AMU is one of the form field)
AMU value displayed in email should supply to the Action Form when user click on login hyperlink.
I am able to redirect till action page but not sure how to supply the AMU value and perform search - requirement is the when the user click on login page , interface should display the same results in grid as the data in table displayed in email notification.

While this functionality might come in the future, it's not available OOTB today.
In short, this is a good use case for a task.
One other option to consider is the task viewer add-in for microsoft outlook.This won't satisfy every use case, but if your organization meets the given requirements, it's worth exploring.
Hey, I see this is an old conversation could you help me with any solution that might have come in the meantime? I have a similar use case. I need to pass the user who clicked on the email link and check to which appian business group they belong and based on that, show them a filtered record (filter is based on their group).
Situation did not change ...
But if you want someone to do something, this would be a task. You can link to it and context is clear.
I'm also not sure this even needs to be a task. Couldn't you have a report that has logic that determines which filter to apply based on the user in the group? Then all of your logic is in the report and you just link everyone to the same report.
