Dear all,

i encouter an issue with the from event "failedValidation".
normally the event will be triggered when i click the button and the form validation fails.
but when the button has a confimation message, the event will not be triggered any more.

why?

fyi, i'm using appian6.71.

Can you please try adding your validation on the field validation event rather than on form events.Hope this helps.

actually what i try to do is when form validation fails after submiting the form, the tab can be activated and the error field can be automatically focused(we have several tabs in the form).
because form has an event "failedValidation" which will be triggered after form validation, so i used this built-in function. it does work when a button does not have a confirmation message.
