Displaing in graphical view the approval process

Hi,

I have a customer request for possibility to define some graphical view of the approval process. They have an approval process in two levels (first is assigned to one user and second level is assigned to multiple users). So what they want to know is where the process is , so who finished the task and for which approval the process is waiting . They insist to be some graphical presentation. I only see that this is possible to be done with progressive bar and some task report with displaying status and some statistic view.

Please share a print screes from your experience , because at this moment they want to see the view and maybe later how it is done.
