File Upload Failing on Start Form

I have run across a strange error for which I cannot seem to find a root cause. The error received on submitting the start form is as follows:

An Error Has Occurred
Could not upload "some.pdf". Reason: The destination document specified is invalid.

The corresponding error in the tomcat-stdOut.log.YYYY-MM-DD is as follows:

Caused by: com.appiancorp.suiteapi.common.exceptions.AppianException: Could not upload "some.pdf". Reason: The destination document specified is invalid.

I have checked permissions to process and the target folder and they all seem fine. Any insight or assistance would be welcome!

Hi Philip,

Are you able to access the folder thru constant. Is the output of the constant for destination is of type folder?

Check the folder security and it should have Administrator Access to all the user who all are can use that file Upload field

Yes, the folder can be accessed via a constant although we will not be able to make use of a constant as the folder in question is created dynamically.

Yes, the folder security options are appropriately set and accessible by the permissioned users.

Can you post your code snippet here? And a screenshot of the configuration of your SAIL form as used for the Start form would be helpful too.

Is your document PV set as a Parameter? I'm forever forgetting to do that when adding start forms to an existing process.

I was just fighting this issue. Setting the PV as a parameter on the PM fixed it.
