Open a Site Page from a different Site Page

Question

What is the best way for a user to click a link on a Site Page and have it open up a different page? Preferably without opening a new tab. 
 
 Edit: Also, how is data saved from a start form to the PV? When adding a start form, the only options are pv!variable without an ac! counterpart.

First part: I don't believe this is possible, not without using a!safeLink, which opens in a new window/tab by mandate. 
 
Second part: start forms save information directly into parameter PVs, since as you say there are no ACP variables involved.
