Hi All -
I am using groupFilter option, but I need to restrict few groups from the suggested groups. Is there a way to get the Required Suggestions mentioned below.
Ex:
groupFilter: cons!GRP_XYZ
Suggested Values: {Grp_1, Grp_2, Grp_3, Grp_4}
Required Suggestions: {Grp_1, Grp_4}
Thanks/Mp

Sorry, it's not clear what you're exactly looking for...is it that you ALWAYS (required) want the picker to contain 1 and 4 and that other Groups are then optionally selected in addition to these two? Or that you have the list of 1,2,3,4 and that you want to HIDE (restrict) 1 and 4?
Based on my groupFilter, my group picker is suggesting all the 4 groups which is listed in suggested values
But I dont want to show all the suggested values to my business users. my group picker should always suggest them 1 & 4 groups, not 2 & 3 out of all 4 groups.
hope I could explain the scenario.
Ok, so one option is to re-think how your Groups are grouped. If you put 1 and 4 in containing Group A, and 2 and 3 in containing Group B, then both Group A and Group B in Group C, then you can use Group C where you need to see all 4 Groups, and only use Group A as the Group for your groupFilter in you example above.
in such scenario, i need to manage 2 parent groups. agree with this approach, but can we not achieve this without managing 2 parent groups
The only other way I can think of is to use the a!pickerFieldCustom() and in the suggestFunction perform a fn!difference() on your current Parent Group to return the subset that you want displayed in the picker.
But I think in the long term organising your Groups as previously suggested such that you can provide the relevant "scope" as needed is the better way to go.
