Hi All,
Is there a way where a user can upload and update his profile picture , and after uploading ,he/she can view the photo which was uploaded in a SAIL form.
The functionality is similar to what we usually do to update profile details in settings.

Hi Larsen,
I dont think so we can do it , and we have a!updateUserProfile() function here we can update all other user details except user profile picture , but we can show user profile in interface using code bellow.
a!imageField(
images: a!userImage(
user: loggedInUser(),
caption: loggedInUser()
),
style: "AVATAR"
)
Hi Larsen Rodrigues - it's not currently possible to view a live preview of an image after uploading it.
You can use an a!submitLink that will submit the task and then a decision node to bring you back to the same task to see the preview.
Thank You for the reply
Thanks for the suggestion .Actually, there is another hurdle as I have to do this on a user start form. So going and coming back from a process wont work using a!submit Link
Hi Larsen -
You can build your own preview step sub component as a part of this operation.
When a user uploads the the image - you could design your application such that the image is saved to a folder that is intended only for temporary use. Once the image file is saved in that temporary folder - it can be displayed to the user.
In the event that your user abandons the form, you can use an exception timer in process to clean up the folder and the file.If the user cancels the process or rejects the image, similarly you can delete the file and folder before it goes to the users profile.If the user continues, you can use the User Profile Picture Utilities to update the photo.
Thanks Robert Shankin for the Info.
