If I click on the monitoring button in the designer, I get the following error after roughly 1 min.

This sounds like a product bug. Can you please file a support case with the Appian Support Team?

I also came across this error on 18.4. We noticed that three Appian engines went down. We created a support case to investigate the root cause but Support Team acknowledged that it is a product bug.
However, a server restart has resolved the issue.
Please keep us posted if a bug fix is available to this issue in any hotfix or future Appian versions.
