I am trying to populate a grid using a default value and am facing an issue. The default value and "save into" are both CDT's of the same type. If I give the save into value for a column in the grid, the default value for that column disappears. This happening for columns of type “text”. What could be wrong here?...

What Appian version?
Is this on a start form?
What's the expression you're using for the default value?

version - 7.2, not it is not a start form.
Expression for default value- =pv!pkAccSecList.accountType.accountTypeCd and the value is rendering fine. If I give the Save value as attribute for the column, save exit the form and open it gain, the default value vanishes.

Save without a default value and default value without a save value is working.

Can you also describe what's single and what's multiple in this expression:
pv!pkAccSecList.accountType.accountTypeCd

Update - if I create a new text input(multiple) and try saving to that, it saves without any issues, but when I try to save it to a same data type as the default value one, the default gets wiped out. Can you check if this is a defect
