Hi,
It looks like there's a bug in fileupload component. Try uploading an empty file. It will throw a validation message. Then try to upload any valid file. But the validation message still displays. Has anyone noticed this issue? I know the uploaded file will be in a temporary file until the form is submitted, but the validation message doesn't go even after uploading the valid file and stays until the form is submitted. This might confuse the end user.

Hello,
Please paste your code here.
I never face that issue.
Best,
Manuel
It's a normal file upload. Try uploading an empty text file. Then u'll know
=a!fileUploadField( label: "Cover Letter", target: cons!APPLICANT_FOLDER, value: ri!coverLetter, saveInto: ri!coverLetter )
I've confirmed this behavior, too, at least in Interface Editor. Can you verify whether this also happens in a running Task? Sometimes these elements behave slightly differently in a live task instance versus the interface designer.
Edit: I've tried in a running task. When uploading a non-empty file, the error message does persist, but the form does allow me to submit it with the proper file uploaded. Though I do agree that it seems counterintuitive and potentially very confusing to end users that there's no way to clear the error message after getting it.
Yes Mike, I agree. We'll be able to submit the form, but it does confuse the end user with that error message. I've raised this issue with the Appian support team. Lets see what they come up with.
Hi There,
We are also facing the same issue in our project, could you please let us know, if you got any response from Appian support team please
Appian aware of this issue and might release some fix later it seems.
