Pre-filled word document

Hi, 
 
 I have a requirement of displaying a prefilled word document on an interface. 
 The word document template is fixed and some fields of the document are filled out by the users through Appian interfaces. This data needs to be mapped from Appian to the respective fields in the word document so that the final output is a pre-filled word document that the user can download on an interface. 
 
 Any ideas on how this can be implemented?

Is the "MS Word Doc from Template" smart service (out-of-box functionality) not sufficient for this? Without knowing more details, this seems like a pretty standard use case for it.
