Appian 7.3: I am trying to navigate to a record from a tempo enabled user input

Appian 7.3: I am trying to navigate to a record from a tempo enabled user input task form. For this, I am using urlforrecord(recordType, recordId) function in the link field on the tempo enabled user input task form, which returns the url to the appropriate tempo record. When I hit on the link generated, it opens the record in another browser window. Can something be done so that it navigates to the appropriate record on the same tempo window without opening another browser window?...

Have you tried using a!recordLink() instead? This should be an internal link

I am using Appian 7.3 where SAIL components cannot be used on user input forms. This is my understanding. Correct me if I am wrong.
