Hi!
I am building an interface on the interface designer, and I added a File Upload component.I need to upload five documents maximum, and i set Max Selections to 5, but even if I select more than one file, I only have one (the first one I uploaded), the rest appear for a moment and disappear. Can anyone tell me why is this happening? Thanks a lot!

Is your rule input in which you save the documents an array?
No, i built this interface from a CDT and this rule input is a field from that CDT, so is a text field, i do not know how to convert it in an array.
So, if you want to store multiple documents, then a singular field will not make it.
When you want to store documents in a CDT, please use the data type "Document". In the CDT you can make that field an array to store more than one. Making simply data type fields an array is not a best practice, but gets you started.
Try to follow this documentation: docs.appian.com/.../cdt_design_guidance.html
Hi if i made this change, then in my database what type do i need to put in this type column?
If you let Appian create the tables, it will create a second table and make the field an integer to store the id of the document which is stored in the Appian document storage.
If i do that do i lose the data i already have in my database?
Do you mean that in my data store object when i click verify, then check let the appian create the tables?
Usually thats meant by "created by Appian"-> DB tools "oracle sql developer" have usually "export" functions. In cloud, I cant tell you out of my mind, but there should be a similar function available. So you can export your DB content, manipulate the document column and insert it into the new table.
Appian will never ever delete any data or other object in your database. In case the change cannot be made automatically, Appian will tell you and then it is your job to do it manually.
Thanks !
