Hi all,
I'm displaying some records from a database.
The data is displayed properly on the grid. However, whenever I try to sort using any column, I get the following error:
Error Evaluating UI Expression:
Expression evaluation error in rule: Error evaluating function 'todatasubset': sort should not have blank sort fields.
How can I fix this?
Please provide your inputs....

Hi,
rule!IM_getGroupDetails(local!selectedEmployeeId) returns
getusergroup(userName) i.e., a list of groups the user belongs to.
I will try with different paginginfo objects and let you know.

Hi,
I tried using 2 different paginginfo objects but still I get the same error.
rule!IM_getGroupDetails(local!selectedEmployeeId) returns a list of groups the user belongs to and it is not a CDT.

Try removing one of those todatasubset related parts at a time. You need to find which of the two parts where you are using todatasubset is causing the problem. Once you find that the issue is narrowed down and you can work towards a solution but if there are two possible root causes and you do not narrow down to one then it will be harder.

Hi Eduardo,
I tried narrowing down the issue as suggested by you.
The first todatasubset works fine with sorting only when the 2nd todatasubset is not present.
If both the datasubsets are present then it throws an error like I mentioned previously.
Not sure of what is causing this issue.
How can I resolve this issue?
PFA the code as is.
Please let me know if it is possible to disable sorting completely.
Also, the alignment doesn't work.
Please provide your inputs.
They helped me a lot.

Hi Eduardo,
In addition to my previous comments, the first todatasubset seems to work fine. I'm not sure of the problem with the 2nd todatasubset. Please let me know where can I place the code for the 2nd grid in case this is causing the problem.

Now that you know the issue is when you add the second grid, you need to confirm the issue is the 2nd grid itself and not the combination of both. What happens if you remove the first grid and leave only the second one, the one with:
local!userGroupsDataSubset: todatasubset(local!userGroups, local!pagingInfo),
if it keeps failing then we know you need to troubleshoot only that piece of the expression.
