Need a full page spinner or loader before the interface loads fully

Hi team,

I have a use case where I am calling an API -> Saving the data to appiancloud db -> fetching data to interface.

I am calling an API which might take 1 to 2 minutes to send response and after that I will be able to store that in db and then I will be able to render it on interface.

Now my question is, can I show a full page spinner until the data comes in the interface instead of loading the top loader bar ?

  • Yes. You can do that. Follow the steps below..

    1. When triggering the integration in the process model, design a parallel flow using an AND gateway with activity chaining so user can see that interface as soon as they submit the previous one.
    2. Inside the new interface, query the data from the table and refresh it using refreshVariables and add a refresh interval of 30 seconds.
    3. While the variable is null, keep showing a loading gif in an imageField (gifs work when the size is set to FIT) and as soon as the data becomes NOT NULL, then you show your actual interface.

With this, you should be able to see a loading spinner until the data has been written in the table.
