Hi, I am having a dropdown component that has choice labels which are sentences up to 25 words long. Is there any option in Appian to display it in a word-wrapped form? Currently it displays upto 20 words (in one choice label) and adds "..." beyond that.
Thanks in advance.

Appian does not support automatic line breaks in drop down components as of now. What is your use case?
Alright. Use case is for the user to select a response for a question from predetermined response values (provided by user, which are list of sentences upto 25-words long). Basically, instead of typing it out, they would like to have the options readily available so that one of them can be selected based on the scenario.
I understand. Depending on your UI design, a list of clickable card layouts might be an alternative.
For that you can use radioButtonField or checkboxField which will automatically wrap the labels
Thank you and . Agreed that both are good alternatives. However, we had chosen to use the drop down as it occupies less area on the page as the response options are hidden when the page loads and is only displayed on clicking the dropdown component. The other components (checkbox, radio buttons, etc) would require the list of all responses to be permanently displayed on the page, which will occupy a great deal of space on the page considering we have 30+ questions being displayed. But will give this a try and see how it works out!
When you put that list of questions into a card layout with fixed height, you get scrollbars allowing your users to scroll through that list.
Or a read-only grid (with selection) in which case you can additionally format the text in the column, etc. Slightly more work up-front but quite a bit more flexibility than the radio button component.
Oh okay, I'll try that out and see how that looks on my UI. Thanks and Mike Schmitt
