can you try fn!user() instead?

If that still fails, restart the application server and see if that helps. It could be this function couldn't be deployed during the startup for a specific reason that the log will tell you if this happens in this restart too.

I have tried both fn!user() and user(). The function exists, and you can use it normally in an expression rule. It just doesn't work when called as the function parameter of the apply function.

I believe this could be down to some missing data in your users profile. So for example if you are using apply(fn!user,pv!arrayOfUser,"firstName") but one of the users in the array hasn't got a firstName then I believe you will get this error.

Joel: That is not the error I am receiving. The error I am receiving says that the function user does not exist. I believe the only way to circumvent this is to build an expression rule that uses the user function. Oh well.
