I need to combine multiple excel file templates into one master file. The format is the same for each template.

This is not available out of the box, however you may find the "Advanced Document Templating" plugin useful. This is for word documents, but can be a good starting point -

Alternately, you can have a look at the "Create Excel File from Template" plugin as a good example -
forum.appian.com/.../summary

"Export SQL and Report Data to EXCEL" could be another useful plugin -
forum.appian.com/.../summary
