We have an old application in production, today a ticket was raised that "Paragraph field in Grid does not accept text if it starts with double quotes (")". I thought it could be the issue with that particular node or something, i tried it in a separate process model and it does not get saved.

For example:
it does not work if i enter
"This is test
but it works if i enter
This is test"

There is not validation around it, no issue with maximum char length or anything and its a portal form(Old application)

If i enter same in a normal paragraph it works fine, but if the paragraph is in a grid, it does not work.

The reference number for this issue is AN-38336. I suggest you start moving away from the old components in order to avoid this issue.

You could add a JS validation in the meantime to let users know they cannot use "" at the beginning.
