How to save a paragraph value with new line into PV?

In SAIL Form

Check on the below link:
forum.appian.com/.../Paragraph_Form_Component.html

And this:
forum.appian.com/.../SAIL_Components.html

New line in paragraph will be stored automatically in PV and you can see that added if you will map it to Some other paragraph field. But, the same if mapped to textfield the new line will not be retained. Also if you want to add multiple lines that can be done using ASCII char for newline.

In my case, I save this paragraph value into a PV and set the PV as email content. In the email the new line format lost. I don't know where should the ASCII char placed.

1. Save this into PV - tohtml(substitute(PV,char(10),"<br>"))
2. While sending email - striphtml(PV)
