Hello we are enabling a file (image) upload function on one of the workflow UI and we wonder if there is any technical deisgn possible if we would like to have the image file opened right away with the default image software in the machine when clicking on the uploaded file?
The step that we would like to avoid is like how Chrome / IE asks the user to either "Open" / "Save As" before actually opening up the file.

I believe that this behavior is browser-based, and a solution would entail tweaking the browser settings to disabling the prompts (e.g., see support.microsoft.com/.../883255 for Internet Explorer).

If this is a SAIL form, check out a!imageField. If you store the uploaded image in documents you can then preview it with this.
