How do I make a field required? How do I make a field not required?

In a forms designer there is a checkbox on each element for required. In SAIL set the 'required' parameter to true for each required field.

Appian now recommends you leave the activity class parameter (ac) not required and managing the required data fields as part of the form design. That way fields can have conditional/expressionable required settings making a much more interactive experience for the user.
