Hello,
While designing a SAIL Interface in the Interface Designer we get an error with only the code APNX-1-4198-000. However, since the system is defined to use the Greek language it does not have a translation for the above error code and we are unable to know what it means, since it doesn't show up in any logs.
Is there a way to find the exact error for this code under this context?

Can you check design_errors.csv file for errors?
Here is the link for more details.

Do a search for the error code here on Forum and you will see quite a few examples which may help resolve your problem.

The design_errors.csv log file does not exist in our installation. Is this something that can be set in the appian_log4j.properties file in the Appian.ear application?

I have searched for the code in the Forum but the results I have gone through have not given me an idea for our case. Wouldn't the design_errors.csv log file (once it has been set up) provide more relevant information?

I suggest you reproduce it multiple times while tailing the application-server.log to double check whether it's logging something or not. It makes sense to try several times.
I also suggest you analyze the response from the server using Fiddler or any similar tool.

Eduardo, unfortunately we can not tail the application-server.log because of an unknown issue with WebSphere where the application-server.log file is only updated for 1-2 hours after WebSphere has been restarted and then stops.
That is why I am asking for help in setting up the design_errors.csv file.

Eduardo, the WebSphere SystemOut logs did not have any relevant entries.
