We have added a Grid Layout and it has total 7 fields. Last field is paragraph field. We have kept height:"SHORT" as short. When user select paragraph field then it is going out of screen. Is there any solution for this? User doesn't want to paragraph field to go out of screen. Please advise. Thanks.

Take a look at this: forum.appian.com/.../SAIL_Recipes.html This will allow you to click a link in a grid which will expand fields below the grid so you can have your paragraph field without it going off…

1. Can you please provide a screenshot of the behavior you're experiencing?
2. Does this issue occur in multiple web browsers?
3. What version of Appian are you on?
4. Does this issue occur in the Interface Designer? If so, please attach the SAIL code and the rule inputs for this interface.

When you say it is going out of the screen, do you mean that it is expanding? You could try using a textfield instead.

This is caused by browser functionality. You are either going to have to make the paragraph field taller or switch to a text field. By having the paragraph expand, it will expand off the screen if the user does not have a big enough window.
The other option would be to change the ordering of your columns. If the paragraph field is not last, this will not be an issue.

It behaves in similar way in both IE9.0 as well as chrome. Please find the attached screenshot. It behaves in Interface Designer and Tempo.

Yes, that's standard browser behavior. It's not something you can configure in SAIL for the "SHORT" paragraph field.
