Can the tab key be used to UNFOCUS and Refresh?

I am using editable grid which have row count according to which the batch size of paging grid is updated. I have used UNFOCUS as refreshOn.
When I enter value and click (mouse) out of that field (Row Count) its updating the batch size but on Tab key its not.
Is there any limitation on UNFOCUS ? It should work for Tab key also.
