Select large group of user

Question

Hello! I am looking for the best solution to pick several people from a long list in the easiest way.
I have thought of 2 solutions:

1) a series of drop-down list that drill-down the scope of options to the last column.
2) use a grid with selection box, the grid that includes filter above

Do you think they are good ideas? Do you have any suggestion else?

Hi @joanneh - while the filter approach in your screenshot will definitely provide flexibility in looking for people, a custom picker (...help/16.3/SAIL_Components.html#CustomPicker) could provide a simpler approach depending on the number of people from which to choose.
