How much records are being returned by the web service? Does the Web Service accept query result control? i.e. can you request for 10 results to check if there is a performance difference? Have you enabled logging ? Are you running any additional rules or expressions on the grid that is taking additional time to parse the info? What is the resource utilisation when the call is made? Check these metrics. Also, have you replicated the same query into an interface to display the data in a grid and checked Appian performance metrics?
