Technical requirements for (older) browsers

I have reviewed the Appian Playbook on System Requirements for browsers, however, I have been asked to confirm the following:
"What will happen if users are using (for example) an older version of IE (say IE10)? Will the system not work? Will some portions work and some won’t? will there be any vulnerability (data integrity, functional integrity, security) that will be exposed when a user uses an old browser? It is important because we need to know if we have to trap the older browser users and deny their access – or something like that – or we can simply put out a message/warning."
If there is any more technical information on what is required for a browser to be supported and function correctly with Appian I appreciate your help. Thank you.

As we know IE10 is not too old and Also when we access Appian in the recommended browsers, there won't be any issues like you mentioned security/integrity etc., For suppose if we are using Appian say V17.1 in IE7 then there will be definite potentail issues and we should avoid this type of appian access.
If some reason a specific browser (say IE) is not upgradeable in the organization, we can recommand other latest browser to access Appian. We did suggest the same thing to the our users who don't have latest verison of IE, but has latest version of google chrome.
