[Appian Government] Automating Personnel Security and Onboarding at Federal Student Aid

In this session, learn how FSA’s Enterprise Technology Directorate is exploring use of Appian to implement a new and improved personnel security and onboarding solution. The Workforce Administration and Security System (WASS) will rapidly provide a secure and compliant solution to process higher volumes of personnel in a safe and digital manner. It will be a solution to the existing challenges facing FSA, such as: limited performance tracking, kickbacks, and manual tasks. Appian improves performance and optimization with robust reporting and audit trails, ensuring accountability and communication with stakeholders at all steps in the process. Appian also eliminates kickbacks by providing a framework for rule-based validations. The intelligent automation platform reduces the document burden on specialists. Out of the box functionality and integration capabilities provide a paperless experience with e-signature. This modern user experience, complete with pre-populated data and processes, mitigates user error. FSA, through WASS, stands to benefit from all of these capabilities.
