PwC leveraged Appian as a digital platform to develop a workforce onboarding, licensing, and certification process improvement significantly reducing overall onboarding time. We approached the implementation in two phases where we identified high value onboarding sub processes and created modern forms for optimal user experience complemented by complex business rules in the backend for employee information validation and automation of relevant end user tasks. This approach accounted for exception tracking and information sharing via a robust business process management platform equating to time savings of ~64,000 hours across ~800 resources and integrations with 80+ third parties to get those resources certified and contracted.
