KB-1742 Call Web Service Smart Service omits the port number in the host header after upgrade

Symptoms

After upgrading to Appian 18.1, 18.2, or 18.3, calls to SOAP Web Services using the Call Web Service Smart Service no longer include a port in the host header, causing web service calls with custom port numbers to fail. In a web service trace, the host headers would appear as follows:

Call from Appian 17.4 and Earlier

Host: service.example.com:7000

Call from Appian 18.1 and Later

Host: service.example.com

Cause

This issue has been addressed via AN-112823 in the following versions/hotfixes:

• Appian 18.1 Hotfix Package F
• Appian 18.2 Hotfix Package D
• Appian 18.3 Hotfix Package A

Action

Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.

Affected Versions

This article applies to Appian versions 18.1, 18.2, and 18.3.
