In some instances, customers may want to restrict access to phpMyAdmin on Appian Cloud sites. The purpose of this document is to provide a way to achieve this.
Access to the phpMyAdmin interface is regulated through the Database Administrators system group. Customers who wish to restrict access to the database administrative interface may either limit group membership to a select number of users or ensure that the group has no members, depending on the use case.
See the Appian Cloud Database Administration section of the Appian Cloud Web Administration for more details.
Note: If access to the phpMyAdmin interface is restricted, possible alternatives to query/manage the Appian Cloud database include:
To query data, refer to Querying Data From an RDBMS.
To insert or update data, refer to Write to Data Store Entity and Write to Multiple Data Store Entities.
To delete data, refer to Delete from Data Store Entities.
Refer to the documentation links for more information on the above alternatives.
This article applies to all versions of Appian Cloud.
