KB-2202 Parent process warning appears even after dependence on child process model is removed

Symptoms

When publishing a process model, a parent process warning appears even though the named parent process has no dependence on the child process model.

Cause

The dependence checker is also checking against past versions of the parent process model. If previous versions of the parent process model still reference the child process model, this warning will appear. This issue has been reported to the Appian Product Team. The reference number for this issue is AN-191005.

Workaround

Delete any versions of the parent process model which reference the child process model.

This article applies to all versions of Appian.
