Major platform upgrades can be a daunting task. Upgrading Appian from lower versions to the latest version cannot be done in one session as Appian has changed significantly over time, requiring a series of upgrades. The purpose of this article is to provide self-managed customers a path to upgrade their installations to the latest version of Appian.
To upgrade to Appian 17.2, the installation must be on Appian 7.11 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 18.4, the installation must be on Appian 17.2 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 19.4, the installation must be on Appian 18.2 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 21.1, the installation must be on Appian 19.4 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 22.2, the installation must be on Appian 21.1 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 22.3, the installation must be on Appian 21.2 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 22.4, the installation must be on Appian 21.2 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 23.1, the installation must be on Appian 21.2 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 23.2, the installation must be on Appian 21.3 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 23.3, the installation must be on Appian 21.4 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 23.4, the installation must be on Appian 22.1 or later.
To upgrade to Appian 24.1, the installation must be on Appian 22.1 or later.
