KB-1164 "403 - Forbidden" error thrown when attempting to access the Quick Apps Designer (<APPIAN_URL>/suite/quickapps)

Symptoms

When accessing the Quick Apps Designer via the URL, the user is redirected to a 403-Forbidden error. Additionally, the Quick Apps Designer does not appear in the drop-down on the top right of the screen in Tempo under the user's name.

Cause

The user has not been added to the Quick App Creators group.

Action

To resolve the issue, please add the user to the Quick App Creators group:

1. Open /designer.
2. Click on the People tab.
3. Search for the Quick App Creators group.
4. Add the user to the group.
5. Ask the user to log out and log back in again for the changes to apply.
