KB-1244 "The objects for [Quick App] have been used or modified from outside the Quick Apps Designer" error thrown when attempting to delete a Quick App

Symptoms

When attempting to delete a Quick App that is no longer needed, the following error is displayed:

Cannot Delete Quick App

The objects for My Cool Quick App have been used or modified from outside the Quick Apps Designer.

To avoid overwriting or losing someone else's work, this Quick App can no longer be modified or deleted.

Cause

One or more objects belonging to the Quick App have been modified outside of Quick Apps (e.g., using Appian Designer or externally).

Action

Open Appian Designer and delete all objects associated with the quick app except the "Quick Apps Rules and Constants" folder, a system folder that is created on app server startup after installing/upgrading to Appian 16.2 or later.

Workaround

Remove the collaborators from the Quick App so it is not accessible.
