KB-1353 "The valuesToStore parameter of a!writeToMultipleDataStoreEntities() cannot be null or empty" error thrown when passing null value

This issue has been resolved in an Appian hotfix/new Appian version. Please apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.

Symptoms

When a null value is passed into a!writeToMultipleDataStoreEntities() in an interface, the following error occurs: 

Could not display interface. Please check definition and inputs. Interface Definition: Expression evaluation error: An error occurred while executing a save: Expression evaluation error at function fn!error [line 8]: The valuesToStore parameter of a!writeToMultipleDataStoreEntities() cannot be null or empty.

Cause

This issue has been resolved via AN-84317 in the following hotfixes/versions:

  • Appian 16.2 Hotfix Package K
  • Appian 16.3 Hotfix Package G
  • Appian 17.1 Hotfix Package D
  • Appian 17.2

Action

Apply the latest hotfix to your Appian installation or upgrade to the latest version of Appian.

Affected Versions
