KB-1369 Issues with changing the last three days of any month of the Process Calendar

Symptoms

Some or all of the following symptoms occur with the Process Calendar when using using en_GB under internationalization settings.

Symptom 1

Marking any of the last three days of any month as a non-working day automatically marks the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd day of that month as non-working.

Symptom 2

Changing the working hours of any of the last three days of any month updates the 1st, 2nd, or 3rd day of the month instead. Changes to the working hours of any of the last three days of a month are not updated.

Cause

This issue has been reported to the Appian product team. The reference number for this issue is AN-41128.

Action

There are two available workarounds for this issue:

  • Store the non-working days in a constant instead of using a Process Calendar.
  • Set the non-working day when the system does not have en_GB set under internationalization settings:
  1. Log in as a System Administrator.
  2. Enable en_US.
  3. Make en_US the primary language.
  4. Sign out.
  5. Log in as a System Administrator.
  6. Mark the desired dates as non-working.
  7. Save the changes.
  8. Disable en_US and make en_GB the primary (if this is the requirement).
  9. Sign out.
