KB-1400 Users are unable to view the process properties when monitoring a process

Symptoms

If a user opens a process model to edit and selects the Process Analyst view, then that user will be unable to view the process properties of a process when monitoring any process.

To reproduce the issue, one can perform the following:

1. Open the Process Modeler.
2. Switch to Process Analyst view.
3. Exit the Process Modeler.
4. Open an existing process instance in Monitor/Edit mode.

The process instance will open with Process Analyst options when it should open with Process Designer options.

Cause

This issue has been reported to the Appian product team as AN-68449.

Action

To work around this issue, perform the following:

1. Open the Process Modeler as a Process Designer.
2. Exit the Process Modeler.
3. Go back to monitor the process.
