Application Internationalization Manager

Overview

The Application Internationalization Manager makes it easy to internationalize your Appian application by providing an easy-to-use interface for managing your application text items (form labels, error messages etc.).  It also provides an easy-to-use function that resolves the user’s locale and returns the right resource bundle.

The Application Internationalization Manager is meant to be used in conjunction with the Load Resource Bundle plug-in. All labels in a database and are exported to a resource bundle which is then read by the Load Resource Bundle plug-in. This minimizes the risk of error when having to manually edit a Resource Bundle file. In addition, it allows business users to manage text items in your applications without your intervention.

Notes:

  • The following plug-ins must be installed prior to importing the application:
    • Regular Expression Functions
    • Load Resource Bundle
  • Currently translated into Canadian French (fr_CA) and English (en_US)

Version History:

  • v1.0 (04.16.2018) - Initial version
  • v1.1 (2018.11.05) - Updated with support for Load Resource Bundle plug-in

  • Hello,   Ive attempted to run the SQL script against our MySQL Appian cloud instance twice and both times it never finished and left aim_label table in locked state.   Any suggestions for executing the SQL scripts in cloud environments?      MySQL Version is 5.7.25 and Appian versions is 19.1.   Once instance is restarted to release the table lock Im going to run statements one by one to see where things might be failing for me.

    Thanks
