Export Knowledge Center

hi,
as per my knowledge kc can't export .it can be downloaded.

Thanks, but how do I download it? Is it included in the export of the application?

Please follow the below process...

You can download an entire knowledge center if you have sufficient user rights to access that knowledge center.

Go to documents tab of your runtime data.
Know your knowledge center name
Select the checkbox next to the Knowledge Center you want to download.
Click the Download button on the toolbar. Click OK. A ZIP archive of the knowledge center contents is generated for you to download.
Select the download location for the file. Save the file.
Up to 5000 documents and folders can be included in a single ZIP archive.

We cannot export Knowledge center. No knowledge center object type is available in Application. But you can download this.

Is it included in the export of the application? :- NO

There seems to be an issue / bug with the download at the browser level. I have tested on both Chrome and Firefox.

Not sure if Appian will provide a fix since they are migrating away from the old designer portal.

first we have a option to create a kc from new >>folder >>select >>Kc.
one kc object will be created in application.
by selecting that object we can patch that object.

we can export Kc in application.when we create a kc in application one kc folder object is created . just check that folder will get a option add to patch.

I'm truly wondered how I Exported a Knowledge Center.
I created a Community Name is :Test Export Community
I created a KC inside the above Community name is Test Export KC

Now I went to Design, Created a new Application> Add Existing> in the other tab enter the name as Test Export Community, Test Export KC. Add those to objects to this new application.
Now Export this application and import in the target environment
After importing in the target environment, just try to click on the Test Export KC it will navigate to /designer>Documents tab and the corresponding KC.

I used 16.2 to do this.

I wanted to chime in and clarify, since some of the information being provided in this thread is not correct. Knowledge centers are Appian objects, and can be exported in a patch or as part of an application export, just like any other object in your application.

There's also the option to download a knowledge center and its contents as a zip file. docs.appian.com/.../Download_a_Knowledge_Center.html

Thanks. My colleague Morne and I are aware of the fact that KCs are Appian objects and that they are exportable as part of a full application or patch export. The KC and its contents should also be downloadable as a ZIP from the Documents portable on 17.4. It seems however that there is a bug on the old portal where it fails to download the KC and its contents when requested (see post further up). Hence my recent post regarding the 18.1 product announcement. We needed to create a full backup of an appian cloud environment we used for a PoC and couldn't because of the before mentioned bug.
