Hi Readers,
To one of my site, in site settings for this parameter i have kept as never "Show Tempo Link in Navigation Menu: Never"
To my Knowledge this means whether the site need to be visible in the list or not when this button is pressed.
but there is a site which is visible in navigation menu even though when Show Tempo Link in Navigation Menu parameter is set to Never would like to know the reason.
Let me know if any other parameters are reason for this
Thank You

Which entry do you see in the menu? This is about the link to the OOTB Tempo Site named "Tempo".
'Tempo' is an out-of-the-box generic end user environment. A bit like a Site but generic to all Applications. The setting "Show Tempo Link in Navigation Menu: Never" simply means a link to this environment is not made available in the list available under the 3x3 Navigation icon.
A Site is a custom environment defined by an Appian development team. Sites are visible in the 3x3 Navigation according to the security setting on the Site itself. That is?: you'll only see a Site in the list of navigation items if you have at least Viewer rights on that Site.
I have an application named app1; which has a site named wallet.
below are the site properties
i have unpublished the application as well but still this wallet site is shown in 3*3 navigation menu
Would like to know why this is happening; if the application is published we can think that the group of users have view access on this application; but this application is unpublished and still its is showing in navigation menu
The application is unpublished, I think it need to be shown in 3*3 navigation menu only if the application is published right??
if it is published only then we can think of security or properties of the site right??
Publishing the application doesn't do what you think it does!!
Okay Thanks for clarifying ,
Now, when check the site properties its as below, i think it should show right?
All users has view access and admin has administrator access on application -- does this security configuration making application site visible in navigation menu
Could you please check once
Site visibility for any given user is dependent on Group membership. The Site object security settings will show you what Group(s) have Viewer (or above) that controls the visibility of the Site. Any user who is in that group (directly o indirectly) will be able to see the Site in the navigation list.

As explained earlier in the thread, the "Show Tempo Link" setting has nothing to do with whether the site appears in the navigation menu. The site's visibility in the navigation menu is 100% determined by its Site Security setting.
