I'm unable to launch the Designer portal (suite/designer). I keep getting a

I'm unable to launch the Designer portal (suite/designer). I keep getting a "403 Forbidden" error despite being in both "Designers" and "Process Model Creators" groups. I've even tried switching User Type to "System Administrator" to no avail.
(Yes, I've closed all IE session). What could be wrong?...

p.s: and Its an Appian group - If you had deleted this, I am not sure recreating a group with the same name alone would address the problem. You need to have a rule based membership defined for users of Type administrator to be part of this group and the bit I am not sure about is how the group ID is linked to permission for accessing designer
