We are working on Appian 7.9 version and facing this issue after checking for “Dependents” for an interface or for any other object. Similar issue occurs on checking for the “Missing Precedents” and “Precedents”.
Please find attached screen shot of the error.
Thanks in advance.

There seems to be an issue with the instance of your search server. In the Data-Metrics logs, withing the <APPIAN_HOME>\\logs directory, there is a csv file that indicates the stare of the search_server_cluster.csv.
forum.appian.com/.../Logging.html
Can you attach that, as well as the app-server log?
