I am trying to implement High Availability in appian,
How can we make sure that the timer event based processes handled in this situation.
For e.g Primary appian on machine A, Backup appian running on machine B.
Timer based set in Primary appian (machine A) then what happens if appian goes down on Machine A
then how timer based processes get triggered on Machine B.
Response is appreciated...

What kind of High Availability are you using? Is machine B running at the same time as machine A or will it be launched once machine A is down?

Yes Eduardo.. I am trying machine B running at the same time as machine A.
What are the recommendations from appian, is that machine B will launch when machine A is down..?

If they are both running then they'll be in sync all the time and the timer shouldn't be a problem. It'll be kicked off at the right time.
In regards to the recommendation, there's a very good document you should read at

Thanks for the reply.
Would you also clarify on below?
What will happen to timer based processes scheduled on machine A when the machine A goes down. How these processes are handled in machine B.?

AS I said before data is in sync all the time. There's no concept of a timer being triggered on a single machine. There's a concept of transaction, the transaction to start the timer is a shared transaction which means that it'll be triggered as long as at least one engine server is up
