Can appian's ear directory be run in tomcat? I know tomcat is a web applicat

Tomcat is not a full fledged application server unlike JBoss or Weblogic and therefore would not support all features of the Appian product.

I looked up online and there's a new version of tomcat called TomEE which supports EAR packages. For my curiosity I ran suite.ear inside it and I ran the URL on the browser and it recognized the site but didn't show anything.....seems like it partially works....may be I need to include search server also....

Agreeing with Abhi, Tomcat is not a full fledged app server compared to JBoss/Weblogic/WebSphere.

Tomcat is listed in the supported list of Application servers. If somehow you managed to make it work, you will have hard time maintaining it because of lack of support from Appian.

I could get the URL to recognize tomEE but nothing loads.....since JBOSS is also a app server that processes EAR files.....tomEE should work as well...
