Scaling Appian
rishub

Hi All,
We are using 4 Cores/ Processors on Server. Can we increase number of execution/ analytics engines to 6 from existing 3 without increasing cores/processors or we should scale up processors as well?
Thanks

Have you ran sizing or the Appian Health Check on your Environment to determine if the allocated resources are sufficient/determined the resources needed for expected growth? I strongly advice against adding Analytics engines unless you have determined the cause of the issue and that it is required.

If there is an underlying issue with Application design or a Report using all the available resources, adding additional hardware will only mask the problem and allow the issue to grow... soon consuming all the new resources.
Running the Appian Health Check can help you identify areas of concern:

Hope this helps?
