  • Does the company have a significant number of business processes?
Does the company have a moderate to high level of complexity to business processes?
Does the company have more than 100 employees?
Does the company have more than 3 tiers in hierarchy?
Are different interfaces/functionalities required for employees with different roles? (The opposite would be if all employees use the same screen.)
Does the company maintain records or reports (customer records, invoices, process execution reports)?
Does the company require the ability to customize and update the solution delivered to it to respond to change?
Does the company have a dedicated IT department or the means to support 2 or 3 IT professionals from Appian to develop/maintain the product?

Yes to all of these would be a strong indicator to look into Appian as a solution.

    Bonus:
Does the company maintain any documents?
Do the employees of the company utilize numerous different devices?
Is the company actively engaged in Agile Development?
Are different parts of the hierarchy separated geographically?
